Healing Through the
Magic of Reading

The Healing Chapters Foundation provides books to children of all ages who are dealing with physical or mental illness. We believe in the healing power of reading, or being read to, as a source of comfort for young patients in need.

Support Our Mission

Your financial contribution helps us purchase and distribute books to children dealing with illness.

Our Mission

The Healing Chapters Foundation is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) that delivers books to children of all ages who are dealing with physical or mental illness. Founded by a children’s author after witnessing unmet needs at the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, MN, our goal is to partner with service organizations to distribute carefully selected, comforting, age-appropriate books. We believe in the healing power of reading—or being read to—as a source of comfort, escape, and strength when kids need it most.

Gifting Partners

To reach more children, we partner with organizations serving families whose children are coping with physical or mental illness. By supplying these partners with an inventory of age-appropriate books, we bring stories that heal directly to the kids who need them most:
